She likes it when I sing

March 23, 2019 Kelli Hughart

March 1st of this year, I had another blessing enter my life. Another grandbaby, this one a little girl. Her nickname is Sabita (from Sabatia angularis). My other grandbaby, who I call Intybus (Cichorium intybus) never liked it when I would sing to him. Sabatia loves it and she looks at me and smiles. Every child has a different personality and it is funny how what one likes the other is not fond of.

I sing her many of the songs we sing at the herbal gatherings. She enjoys plant songs and smiles and just gazes at me. She is my little green wild warrior.

I can’t wait to teach her the plants and the language of the plants.
How to listen and allow the plants to teach her, just like the plants have taught me.
