As a chronic illness sufferer and the ‘yes person’ who gave their all in their relationship only to be used and run into the ground, I know how important it is to prioritize your well-being and find ways to improve your mood naturally. Here are some of my top tips, and I hope they help you like they have me!

Mind-body medicine techniques can help promote overall mental and emotional well-being. Here are three easy hacks you can try that are based on science!

Hi! If we are meeting for the first time, my name is Kelli a holistic healer for the past 35 years and an author that’s helped hundreds of people regain their calm and happiness! I’ve been called ‘the real deal‘ and an ‘angel sent from above‘ by my clients!

I’m a doctoral candidate and kind-hearted soul who discovered a natural recovery method that saved my life after the emotionally & physically devastating effects of a toxic relationship that exacerbated my chronic illness.  With this new joy and freedom in life, I now teach women ending bitter relationships to regain their confidence, calm, their health and feel empowered again so they can have peaceful nights of sleep, wake up feeling energized, and have a positive outlook on life.
  1. Deep or Mindful Breathing: Deep breathing exercises and meditation are powerful tools for calming the mind and reducing stress. It also positively influences your heart rate viability (HRV). Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down. Take slow, deep breaths, focusing on the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body. You can also try guided meditation apps or videos targeting relaxation and mood improvement. Regular practice can help reduce anxiety, enhance relaxation, and improve your overall mood.
  2. Gratitude Journaling: Practicing gratitude and journaling about it can transform your mood and overall well-being. Each day, take a few moments to reflect on and write down things you’re grateful for, such as supportive friends or family, moments of joy, or small accomplishments. This practice can shift your focus towards the positive aspects of your life and help cultivate a more optimistic mindset.
  3. Mindful Eating or Mindful Drinking: Take the time to savor and fully enjoy your meals. Pay attention to the food or beverage’s flavors, textures, colors, and aromas. Chew slowly and appreciate each bite. Mindful eating enhances your sensory experience and promotes a sense of gratitude for nourishing your body.

Using mind-body medicine tools can improve health and wellness outcomes and have better days and live more peacefully with your chronic condition. One of my clients Crystal says this “I now have more good days in the garden and fewer days in the bed because of the tools and techniques Kelli has taught me. She is the REAL DEAL!
