Ylang-Ylang, Cananga odorata, is a beautiful tree in the magnolia family from the South Asian region. The essential oil is light in color and is a favorite among botanical perfumers as a middle note. The floral, sweet intoxicating aromatic plant is commonly known for its use in stress, anxiety, anger, and specifically for its antidepressant effect.
Bergamot, Citrus bergamiais is in the citrus family and the peel is typically used for the distillation process. This essential oil has many uses, but in mood remedies, it can be used for stress, appetite and even appetite.
Kelli Hughart’s Mood Blend (My own signature recipe!
In a diffuser, blend (I like Floracopeia)
1-2 drops of Ylang-ylang EO
1-2 drops of Bergamot EO
2-3 drops of Cannabis EO
You can adjust based on your needs. Remember a little bit goes a long way. I use a nasal inhaler and add a drop of vetiver or agarwood for grounding purposes!
